    Bucknell University seeks a highly motivated and organized training and development professional to design and deliver learning solutions that help the organization prepare for growth, change and continuous improvement. The incumbent will need to use a variety of learning methodologies to most effectively relay the material to a diverse audience and will work collaboratively with HR, Finance, Library & Information Technology and other key partners.

    The Training Consultant will be responsible for analyzing training needs, developing curriculum and delivering courses for Bucknell's enterprise resource platform (currently Workday), and other core systems. While primarily supporting the Workday ERP, this position will also focus on the training needs of various department and academic units across campus and will assess, design, develop, and implement training as necessary. This position will support the training needs related to other systems integral to the business processes associated with Human Resources and Finance including hiring, supervisory training, and performance management, accounting, budgeting, payroll and reporting. The Training Consultant reports to the Training and Organizational Development Manager and works closely with other Human Resources, Finance, and Library & Information Technology staff in planning, implementing, and evaluating University staff development initiatives. This is a full-time, 12 month, benefits eligible position.

    Duties:

    • Gain thorough understanding of Workday functionality (specifically human capital management and finance) in order to create appropriate and effective training materials.
    • Collaborate with leaders in Human Resources, Finance, and Library & Information Technology to appropriately assess needs and leverage existing training resources.
    • Provide training focused on business processes, business operations, and related compliance.
    • Conduct needs assessment to identify and evaluate training requirements and needs of departments and end users.
    • Work closely with academic leadership, including Deans and department chairs to assess and support the training needs in academic areas.
    • Partner with subject matter experts to design appropriate training curricula focused on improving and enhancing business processes and meeting the business unit needs.
    • Analyze, design, develop and deliver strategic training using instructor-led, train-the-trainer, electronic/web based, and/or multimedia training methods and formats.
    • Develop, update and maintain leader and participant guides, job aids, training curriculum and other required coursework that is clear, concise and accurate.
    • In addition to working with cross-departmental teams regarding applicable training for Workday updates, will also evaluate updates from other cloud based software systems to determine implementation and communication to campus constituencies.
    • Facilitate learning via classroom instruction and the web; incorporates a variety of presentation methods and applications to accommodate adult learning styles.
    • Design and develop effective assessment strategies for the overall training program.
    • Recommend and/or implement innovative solutions, modification and enhancements to training programs.
    • Coordinate logistics for training programs to include, but not limited to, campus messaging, room reservations and set up, and food.
    • Actively contribute to Bucknell's efforts to foster a diverse and inclusive campus community.
    • Develop and support a campus wide group of trainers.
    • Perform other duties as required or requested.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree and 4 years of professional training experience OR High school diploma and 8 years of professional training experience.
    • Demonstrated experience in design and delivery of successful training programs.
    • Ability to work across diverse cultures and styles at all levels of the organization, to cultivate and maintain strong relationships in building consensus and support.
    • Project management skills, demonstrated success in partnering with colleagues to drive results.
    • Excellent organization skills and a strong results orientation.
    • Experience in the design, development and delivery of training of technical and financial content (such as financial management systems, enterprise management systems, human resource management systems).
    • Excellent presentation, communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines and manage multiple, dynamic priorities in a fast-paced environment.
    • Demonstrated competence and knowledge of learning methodologies, current training, assessment and organizational development models and technologies.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience or familiarity with Workday or other Enterprise Resource Platforms
    • Experience with Cornerstone or other Learning Management Systems
