The US Office of Personnel and Management (OPM) GoLearn Program serves as a catalyst for transforming the way government manages human capital by effectively and efficiently implementing solutions that align workforce development with organizational goals, resulting in improved mission attainment.  A key solution in their portfolio includes their learning management system (LMS) that is based on the Moodle open source web application (moodle.org).  This multi-tenancy solution supports multiple federal agencies and hundreds of thousands of users with a robust and highly efficient learning delivery model.  In this presentation, the following topics will be discussed:
    • The GoLearn Program and how agencies benefit from this federal solution
    • The journey to select and deploy an open source LMS as the foundational technology
    • The pros and cons associated with an open source LMS (or any other) product
    •  How to learn more about open source LMS options.
