Gamification and using game elements in learning have been adopted in various forms in both academia and training and development communities. But does gamification or game design really enhance learning? And how could talent development professionals incorporate gamification and game design in their day-to-day activities? This engaging, gamified program will allow you to experience different kinds of gamification as both the learner and the learning professional.

Learning Outcomes:

1.       Recognize gamification and game elements, and explain how they might enhance learning.

2.       Identify gamification tools and game elements.

3.       Apply these tools to a learning event.

4.       Experience gamification or game elements as both a learner and a learning professional.

About Our Presenters:

Trish Briere is a Learning Designer at UMUC developing problem and competency based, open, online courses. She has over ten years of experience spanning the private education consulting, corporate, and higher education industries in designing, developing, and delivering learning solutions. We are fortunate to have two subject matter experts this month!
